Grateful runner conquers Rome.

  Completed the race – collected the medal – enjoyed every minute of the experience – cobblestones galore – torrential rain at beginning, middle and 40kms – broken up with lovely sunshine which was most welcome!   Registration on Friday in Rome caused a little flutter of the heart! My number had been changed   allocated a man’s number in error – as had several other ladies – so I wasn’t jinxed – F3342 on  the Rome Marathon website will give you all the evidence!    Race Day began with an early morning call at 5.45am! Wash – check! Kit – check! Breakfast – check! Meet 6.50 – check! 1st XI promoted to NATIONAL LEAGUE!

Congrats to all involved in the 1st XI. Gaining promote into the National League is a fantastic achievement and we wish you all the best with your pre-season training and look forward to supporting you all next season.
